Serious Injury

Boca Raton police are investigating a serious injury vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of West Yamato and Jog roads just before 12:40 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said a Kia and a Nissan Murano collided. The driver of the Kia, Marisa Pettigrew, 24, of Lighthouse Point, was taken to Delray Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition. The driver of the Nissan, Elise Ralby, 45, of NW 60th Street, Boca Raton, was also taken to Delray Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Traffic Investigator E. Bucinskas at (561) 338-1356.

Counterfeit Bill

Boca Raton police are investigating the passing of nine counterfeit $100 bills at the Louis Vuitton counter at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Town Center at Boca Raton mall July 10, police said.  The report said all the bills were $100 denominations, but with only four different serial numbers.  Police said the bills were taken into evidence and will be turned over to the Secret Service.

Car Burglarized

A Boca Raton woman told police June 10 that someone entered her car, rummaged through the glove compartment and center console, but took nothing, police said.

Business Vandalized

Boca Raton police are investigating a vandalism incident at a business on North Federal Highway reported June 10, police said. The report said someone spray-painted graffiti messages on the walls and surrounding areas during the past three weeks, said police.

Car Entered

A woman called Boca Raton police June 10 to report that her SUV was broken into while it was parked on North Federal Highway. She said someone smashed the left rear window and stole a $300 purse that was later found on East Yamato Road.
