Drug Charges

Following a traffic stop about 10:15 a.m. on June 5, Boca Raton police arrested a motorist on charges of possession of marijuana and tampering with or destruction of evidence.  Police said that when his car was stopped on West Glades Road, the driver was observed trying to eat the marijuana. 

Van Entered

Boca Raton police said a local resident reported a break into his van on June 5. Police said power tools worth $970 were taken.

GPS Taken

A Boca Raton resident told police June 5 that someone smashed the window of his SUV, reached in and stole a GPS system from the dashboard.  The thief also stole a cellular telephone from the console, according to reports.

Vodka Theft

Boca Raton police arrested a suspect just before noon June 5 on a charge of misdemeanor retail theft.  The manager of a local liquor stole noticed him existing the store with a bottle of vodka.  The manager gave police a description of the suspect who was later located on North Federal Highway, police said. He was taken to the police station, processed and released on his own recognizance, police said.

Car Burglarized

A Boca Raton resident told police June 5 that someone burglarized his son-in-law’s SUV.  The suspect smashed the rear window, causing an estimated $200 damage, said police.  The suspect was unable to get into the vehicle, police said.  The SUV was parked on South Federal Highway when the incident occurred, said police.
