Identity Theft

Boca Raton police received a call from a local woman May 28, reporting that an unknown person had stolen her husband’s identity.  She said a suspect called the bank where the couple has its accounts and told them to change all the addresses to a location in Hollywood, Fla.  The suspect also ordered a debit card with the victim’s name by using his account numbers and Social Security number, police said.

Truck Recovered

A Boca Raton man told police someone stole his truck from Bethel Boulevard on May 28, police said.  The vehicle was later recovered on St. Andrew’s Boulevard, in the canal behind the Walgreen’s. The police dive team responded to check the vehicle, police said.

Rocker Stolen

A woman contacted Boca Raton police May 28 to report that a brown antique rocking chair worth about $1,000 was stolen from her home.  She said some friends were unloading furniture from a truck and apparently left the chair outside for a few minutes. When they went to get it, it was gone, said police.

Rocks Thrown

A Boca Raton man told police about 1:50 p.m. May 28 that as he was exiting I-95 to westbound Yamato Road, a blue car with youths inside passed him and threw rocks at his car.  He said his car was not damaged, but he does want police to speak with the youths.

Counterfeit Bill

A man reportedly passed a counterfeit $20 bill at the CVS Pharmacy on West Yamato Road May 28, said police.  Store officials said the man came in to purchase a set of passport photos.  The man left the store with two of the four photos.  The store manager turned the other two over to the Secret Service, police said
