Identity Theft
An 81-year-old Boca Raton man told police May 28 that someone stole his personal checkbook. He said he received a phone call from a check-cashing store May 25 asking him to verify that one of his checks was cashed by a woman from West Palm Beach. He said that was when he realized the checkbook was gone.
Robbers Sought
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying two suspects wanted for robbing a convenience store in Belle Glade June 4. PBSO said both suspects are thin black males with short hair. One was wearing a black, short-sleeve t-shirt over a white, long-sleeve t-shirt, blue shorts, and a bandana over his face. The other was wearing a white, short-sleeve t-shirt, blue shorts, and white sneakers.

Cars Burglarized
A Boca Raton man told police May 26 that someone burglarized his car, police said. The front driver’s side window was smashed, the vehicle was ransacked and a $700 stereo was missing from the dashboard, police said.
In a separate incident, a Boca Raton woman told police the same day that her car was entered and her Ipod, GPS and $10 in cash were taken, said police.
Lamb Theft
The manager of the Publix Supermarket on South Federal Highway told police May 28 that a tall, slim man ran out of the store after stealing a leg of lamb valued at $30 from the meat department, police said.
Identity Theft
A Boca Raton woman reported to police May 28 that someone had stolen her identity by using her credit card number to purchase nearly $190 worth of merchandise online. The woman contacted her credit card company, and was told to file a police report.
