Suspect Sought

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public assistance in locating a suspect who robbed the BankAtlantic office at 4148 Jog Road, Lake Worth, on May 29.

PBSO said the suspect showed the teller a note that stated, "Give me cash. Don’t look at me, look down.” The teller complied by placing money on the counter.  The suspect grabbed the money, placed it in his pockets and walked out of the bank.

The suspect is said to be in his mid 40’s, about six feet tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing glasses, a beige shirt with the word “Dickie” over the right breast pocket; beige pants and a beige hat.  He implied he had a gun but none was seen, police said.

GPS Taken

A Boca Raton man told police May 24 that someone entered his car by smashing a window, and took a navigation system, radar detector and other miscellaneous items, police said.

Loiterer Charged

Boca Raton police arrested a suspect just before 4 p.m. March 25 for loitering and prowling.  According to a report, the man could give no explanation for why he was driving around the residential area on South Ocean Boulevard and apparently following girls by the beach.  Police said the suspect was also charged with reckless driving for allegedly running two stop signs and traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone.

School Break

Boca Raton police received a report May 25 of a break into the food service building at Grandview Preparatory School on NW 40th Street, police said.

Car Burglarized

Boca Raton police said a 13th Street resident reported May 25 that someone burglarized his car.  A front window was smashed and the car was ransacked, said police.  The intruder stole a $700 stereo from the dashboard, said police.
