Armed Robbery
Boca Raton police said two female juveniles were robbed at gunpoint May 31 by two men who passed them in a car, stopped, got out and confronted them.
Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said the girls were walking west on NW 45th Street about 9:40 p.m. when the car stopped. Two men got out. One man pulled a black, semi-automatic handgun and demanded property, said police. The girls turned over jewelry, an iPod and cell phones.
The men then got back into the car and left. The girls were not hurt, said Boonenberg.

Theft from Desk
A staff member at Lynn University reported to police May 9 that someone stole $150 from his desk drawer. The theft occurred several days earlier, he said.
Suspicious Van
Security officers at the Town Center mall told police May 9 they found an unoccupied van parked in the lot, six spaces from the Sears Department Store, police said. The vehicle was reported stolen from Miami-Dade County. It was removed, and authorities in Miami-Dade were notified of the recovery, police said.
Forged Check
Boca Raton police said a suspect made off with $1,000 by cashing a fraudulent check at a local bank about 2:30 p.m. May 9, police said. Investigators said the suspect used the victim’s stolen driver’s license and account number.
Hungry Intruder
Boca Raton police said someone broke into an unoccupied condominium on May 9 and ate a small amount of food. Police said the suspect may have been sleeping in the condo as well.
Stolen Computer
A Boca Raton police report said a local man contacted authorities May 9 to report that his SUV was broken into and a $4,000 laptop computer was taken. The thief also took a cell phone and other miscellaneous items from the floor of the back seat, said police.
