Guns Stolen
Boca Raton police are investigating two vehicle burglaries that resulted in the theft of guns, police said.
According to one report, a handgun, ammunition clips, two pairs of handcuffs and other items were taken from a car sometime between April 30 and May 5, police said.
In the other incident, police said, a man called to report someone pried the passenger door lock of his pickup truck and stole a black satchel containing two guns and two checkbooks.
SUV Vandalized
A Boca Raton resident told police May 5 that someone vandalized his SUV. The right rear tire was slashed, he told police. It cost $250 to replace it, said police.
Shoplifters Caught
Boca Raton police said two people were caught shoplifting at the Kmart Store on West Palmetto Park Road, police said. A loss prevention officer said he caught the men trying to steal more than $1,200 worth of medications and razors. Both men were taken to the county jail, police said.
Drug Dealing
Boca Raton police arrested a woman just after 3 p.m. May 5 in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on St. Andrews Boulevard on drug charges, police said. A report said she was observed making a drug transaction with a man. Police said she faces charges of possession and sale of a drug and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. She was taken to the county jail, police said.
Residential Burglary
A Boca Raton woman told police May 5 that someone entered her home by prying open the rear window. The intruder stole jewelry, police said.
Belts Stolen
Boca Raton police arrested two men at the Saks Fifth Avenue Store in Town Center at Boca Raton mall May 5 and charged them with shoplifting, the report said. Each was charge with stealing a Gucci belt. They were processed, and then released on their own recognizance, police said.
