Punches Dispenser
An apparently angry customer punched the automated ticket dispenser at Muvico at 3200 Airport Road May 5, Boca Raton police said. Officials at the theater company said the dispenser was broken beyond repair. It will cost $1,600 to $2,000 to replace, police said.
Suspicious Incident
Boca Raton police responded to the 2000 block of NW 30th Street about 2:40 p.m. May 4 to investigate a suspicious incident, police said. Officers arrested a man on a warrant for violation of probation from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was processed at the Boca police station, and then transported to the county jail, police said.
Domestic Battery
Boca Raton police arrested a local man about 9:35 p.m. May 4 for allegedly pressing his fist against his wife’s face. The incident occurred on South Dixie Highway, said police.
Business Break
Boca Raton police are investigating a break into a business in Mizner Park reported May 4, police said. Once inside the back room, police said, the intruder stole a wallet and keys belonging to an employee, police said.
Car Burglarized
A Boca Raton man told police May 5 that someone entered his car and stole a briefcase containing financial documents and electronics, a police report said.
Graffiti Reported
A vandal or vandals reportedly spray-painted graffiti on a building at a development on NE 20th Street in Boca Raton, said police. The paint was sprayed in the hallways, police said in the report received May 5.
Credit Fraud
A Boca Raton woman told police someone used her credit card number at a bank in Lakeland, police said. The person made unauthorized charges of about $2,000 and the bank closed the woman’s account, said police.
Stolen Crystal
The son of an elderly woman who lives in Boca Raton called Boca police May 5 to report that a suspect stole 12 pieces of Waterford crystal from his mother’s china cabinet. He said the theft occurred between late January and late April, according to police.
