Bank Robbery

A man wearing a white dress shirt, dark tie and gray pants robbed the Bank of America branch on St. Andrews Boulevard in Boca Raton just before 1:30 p.m. on April 30, according to police.

Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said the suspect approached a teller, presented a note and demanded money. She said that while the teller was collecting money, the suspect opened a backpack, which contained a small black handgun.

The suspect placed the money in the backpack and left the bank in an unknown direction, police said.  The report said the man was about 30 to 35 years of age, 6-foot-3, 180 pounds with a diamond stud earring in his left ear.

Wallet Stolen

A woman contacted Boca Raton police April 26 to report her Coach wallet was taken from an office suite on West Glades Road, police said. The report used credit cards in the wallet to make transactions at nearby businesses.

Drug Charge

Boca Raton police arrested a male juvenile about 8:15 p.m. April 26 on a charge of possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.  He was taken into custody at Sugar Sand Park, police said. He was processed and released in the custody of his parents, said police.

Noise Complaints

A Boca Raton man was issued a notice to appear in court after he allegedly violated provisions of the city’s noise ordinance on SW 18th Street about 9:50 p.m. April 26, police said.

Loud Neighbor

Boca Raton police arrested a local man about 2:20 a.m. April 27 and charged him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence, police said.  The suspect allegedly refused to lower his voice and woke up a neighbor across the street.  Police said he resisted being searched and had to be placed in a total body restrain device, police said.
