Alcohol Accident
Boca Raton police arrested a woman about 9:10 p.m. April 6 and charged her with driving while under the influence, causing a serious injury accident, a police report said. The crash victim was treated in the emergency room of Boca Raton Community Hospital, police said. The woman was taken to the county jail after giving a breath sample.
Pipe Taken
A suspect reportedly stole about 1,000 feet of copper pipe that was installed in the restrooms of the concession area under construction at the Boca Raton High School stadium, according to police. The theft was reported April 7.
Laptops Taken
A Boca Raton business reported to police April 7 that 19 laptop computers were taken from the building between April 5 and April 7. Police said entry was gained by means of a stolen entry card key. Police said security camera footage shows a man walking the hallways and taking laptops. Stolen items were valued at $26,567, police said.
House Break
Boca Raton police reported receiving a call about a house break April 7. The complainant said someone kicked in the front door and stole jewelry, police said.
Traffic Trouble
A Boca Raton man told police he was cut off by another car about 12:30 p.m. April 7 on North Military Trail. As a result, he said, he was forced to take evasive action and struck the center median.
Credit Fraud
A Boca Raton man reported to police April 7 that someone obtained his debit card number and used it to withdraw money from an ATM in New York City. Police said the local man still has the debit card.
Home Burglarized
A home on NE Second Drive was burglarized, police were told April 7. An alarm sounded in the southwest bedroom, said police, who discovered that about $1,000 worth of men’s and women’s watches were stolen. Neighbors saw a man and woman leaving in a brown car, said police.
