Multiple Charges
Boca Raton police arrested a 28-year-old man about 10:30 p.m. April 3 and charged him with fleeing and eluding, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and resisting without violence, police said. According to a report, the man failed to stop for a police officer and sped off. The man led the officer to NE 15th Terrace where he jumped out of the vehicle and attempted to run, police said. He was apprehended after a short foot chase.
Drugs Found
A woman told Boca Raton police April 4 that someone stole her wallet while she was at a local bar. She said the wallet and contents were valued at $33. While she and a friend were looking for the wallet in the parking lot, they found a clear plastic bag of a substance alleged to be cocaine, about 2.1 grams. It was turned over to police, the report said.
Suspicious Incident
A Boca Raton man told police April 4 tihat he encountered a man in his carport, police said. The man said the intruder was about six feet tall, in his 50s, wearing a gold t-shirt, gray pants and a baseball cap. The resident said he yelled at the man who left the carport and headed west, police said.
Cardholder Taken
A Boca Raton woman told police April 4 that someone stole her Louis Vuitton credit cardholder while she was shopping at Bloomingdale’s, police said. The cardholder contained $800 in cash, her driver’s license and a debit card, police said.
Retail Theft
woman was arrested about 2:30 p.m. April 4 for retail theft after she allegedly stole about $30 worth of make-up and hair care products from the Publix Supermarket on South Federal Highway. She was taken to the police station for processing and issued a notice to appear in court, police said.
