Carjacking Probed

Boca Raton police are investigating a carjacking reported about 12:30 a.m. April 6.

According to reports, a man returned home and parked his car when he noticed an older vehicle parked behind his.  Before he could get out of his own car, three suspects approached from the car behind, all armed with guns.

Police said one man put the gun to the victim’s head, told him to get out of the car and lie on the ground. Police said the suspects fled in the victim’s car.

The man was not injured, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective John Moran at (561) 338-1315.

Suspect Sought

Boca Raton police detectives are seeking a man who may be tied to a pair of recent crimes, police said.

On Feb. 27, the man was seen walking from an office where a woman reported he wallet stolen, said police.  She said the woman confronted the suspect, but he ignored her and left the building.

The second incident occurred March 11 at a local hotel.  While the victim was away from her room, the suspect reportedly entered while housecleaning was making up the room, advised the housekeeper it was his room and stole a number of items.

Alcohol Possession

Boca Raton police gave two 20-year-old men notices to appear in court on charges of being under age 21 in possession of an alcoholic beverage, police said.  The men were at a downtown Boca Raton bar when the incident took place, said police.

Business Burglarized

A Boca Raton business owner told police March 24 that someone entered his firm via a lockbox key kept outside.  The suspect opened the safe and stole about $1,800 in cash, said police.  The thief then left via a rear door, said the report.
