Car Burglarized
A Boca Raton woman told police March 7 that someone broke into her car while it was parked in a lot on Military Trail. She told police the intruder smashed the front passenger side window and took a purse containing credit cards, $750 in cash, house keys, checkbook, earrings and miscellaneous paperwork, said police.
Bike Taken
A resident of Boca Raton told police March 7 that someone stole his gray bicycle from the breakfast room of his home. He told police he found no signs of forced entry.
Shoplifter Caught
Boca Raton police arrested a woman about 7:40 p.m. March 7 at Macy’s in Town Center mall and charged her with retail theft. Police said the woman reportedly stole clothing worth $70. She was released on her own recognizance and given a date to appear in court.
Wallet Taken
A Pompano Beach woman contacted Boca Raton police March 7 to say that someone stole her wallet from her place of business. She said the wallet was on a chair in the employee break area, a police report said.
Naked Man
Boca Raton police said a resident called about 12:30 a.m. March 8 to report that a naked man was banging on the windows and front door of his home. The exhibitionist did not break into the home, police said.
Car Recovered
Boca Raton police said a car reported stolen March 4 in Fort Lauderdale was found March 8 on Plaza Real in Boca Raton.
Shoplifter Arrested
Boca Raton police arrested a suspect at the Publix Market on North Federal Highway about 4:40 p.m. March 7 and charged him with shoplifting. The suspect reportedly took eight lobster tails valued at about $42. He was processed and taken to the county jail, police said
