GPS Units Stolen
Two Boca Raton men reported to police Feb. 18 the theft of GPS navigation systems from vehicles they own, according to reports. One man said someone smashed the window of his car and took a unit worth $250. Another man reported the theft of a unit of the same value, said police.
Theft At Mall
A woman told Boca Raton police Feb. 19 that someone stole her wallet from a shopping bag while she was at Town Center at Boca Raton mall, police said. She said the thief used her credit card at hair salons in Boca Raton and Plantation.
Purses Taken
Two women contacted Boca Raton police Feb. 18 to report that purses were stolen from cars they own, said police. One woman said the thief smashed a window and took the purse containing cash, credit cards and eyeglasses, police said. Also, a purse containing cash and credit cards was taken from another vehicle parked nearby.
Yard Entered
Boca Raton police said Feb. 18 that someone cut a chain that is used to secure a fenced-in yard that contains lumber, a number of vehicles, campers and miscellaneous equipment. Nothing within the fenced area was disturbed or removed, said police.
Laptop Taken
Boca Raton police received a report Feb. 18 from a local resident that someone had stolen his laptop computer, $50 in cash, a checkbook and sports equipment from his car, police said.
Warrant Arrest
After stopping a car on NW 13th Street about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 18 for having a broken tag light, police arrested the driver on an active warrant from the Broward Sheriff’s Office for driving without a license, police said. He was taken to the county jail, said police.
Hit By Bottle
A Boca Raton woman told police Feb. 18 that she was struck by a beer bottle while at a drinking spot on SE Mizner Boulevard, police said.
