CARLOS EDUARDO MONROY
Carlos Eduardo Monroy, the beloved infant son of Anita Gonzalez and Juan Carlos Monroy returned to the Lord on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Carlos was born in Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami on November 13, 2007; he was not strong enough to go home to Boca Raton where his parents, his sister, Deanna Gonzales, and brothers, Manfredi & Alexander Gonzalez and Brandon Monroy patiently waited for him. Carlos was a precious grandson to Irinea Acosta and Angelica Montoya, both of Boca Raton; he will also be missed by his loving godparents, Adrian Bello and Basilia Monroy of Orlando. The family will receive guests for visiting hours on Saturday from 4:00-8:00pm at Babione Funeral Home (east chapel, 561-395-8787), Boca Raton. A graveside prayer service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Boca Raton Cemetery
EDWARD B. BALME
BOCA RATON
Edward B. Balme, long time resident of Boca Raton, passed away on April 24, 2008, in Denver, Colorado. Ed was born on August 5, 1912 in Minnesota; he moved his family to Boca Raton in 1952 and founded Boca Plumbing in 1953. A charter member and president of the Rotary club of Boca Raton, charter member, past exalted ruler and life member of Elks Lodge #2166; member of The Eagles Post since 1943; a 40 year member of the Free Masons, a member of the Moose Lodge and the Junto Club; a long time business member of PHCC. He retired to Sebastian, Florida and served on the Sebastian Inlet District Board of Commissioners from 1982-86 and the Florida Board of Building Codes and Standards. Ed was preceded in death by Marvel, his beloved wife of 57 years. He is survived by four devoted children: Jon (Harriet) Balme of Sebastian; Diane (Tom) Thomason of Boca Raton; Mary (Russell) Smith of Denver, CO; and Michael (Brenda) Balme of Boca Raton; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 1, 200 8 at the Boca Raton Elks Lodge.
