on July 7th 1920 in Lincoln Park Michigan passed away in peace at
home on Thursday January 17th 2008, at the age of 87. Ginny had resided
in the Prescott, Arizona area since 2000. Before that time she resided
with her husband George at their beloved woodland lodge in northern
Michigan after retirement and many years in the Detroit area. The
two wintered for many years in Boca Raton Florida where they enjoyed
time with family and friends. Ginny was most at home in the northern
woods where she loved to grow flowers, watch wild life and enjoy nature
with the true love of her life George. Ginny and George were married
for 59 years before his death in 1999. The two were inseparable and
true “Best Friends”. Together they had many wonderful
friends and a large extended family. Ginny gave strength and encouragement
to her husband for the many years she watched and supported the career
he loved. Ginny loved raising her children, sharing her love of painting,
sewing and crafts with them as well as her love of nature. In retirement,
Ginny and her husband divided their time between Michigan, Florida
and in the later years Arizona where Ginny loved to be with her four
grandsons. Ginny always held onto her love of gardening and wherever
she was filled her space with beautiful flowers. She always enjoyed
viewing and attracting birds and wildlife of all kinds. Ginny is preceded
in death by her parents, Paul and Pearl Newman, her husband George,
her sister June Guest, her brother Dale Newman, an infant grandson
and many close friends and family. Ginny is survived by her sons Edward,
and William, Her daughter Pam, son-in-law Martin, 4 grandsons, a granddaughter,
several nieces and nephews of whom she was extremely fond, and several

wholeheartedly as a loving Daughter, Devoted Wife, Nurturing Mother,
Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was a beautiful, quiet,
peaceful soul who gave encouragement, strength and love to all she
shared her life with. She was thankful to and cared deeply for the
gentle care/companions that were lovingly by her side until the end.
Ginny will be greatly missed here, where she has left a void in the
lives of many. It is certain that in death she is welcomed with the
Lord and embraced and surrounded by all those that have passed before
her that she has missed and loved dearly.
