Delray schedules beach cleanup for July 5

In honor of National Clean Beaches Week (July 1-7), the city of Delray Beach will sponsor a beach cleanup at Atlantic Dunes Park, 1605 S. Ocean Blvd., Saturday, July 5, from 8 to 10 a.m. Volunteers are requested to assemble at the beach pavilion upon arrival to participate in this event.

The city will provide gloves, garbage bags, litter sticks and light refreshments.  Participants are able to earn community service hours.
 
Registration forms are available at Delray Beach City Hall, 100 NW 1st Avenue.  Forms can also be downloaded from the City’s website www.mydelraybeach.com by selecting Beach Clean Up on the home page.
