FROM STAFF REPORTS
Dr. Melissa Singer of West Palm Beach has earned the title of National
Woman of the Year for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s
2007 Man & Woman of the Year campaign.
In just 10 weeks, Dr. Singer raised $289,000 to help the Society
fund lifesaving cancer research and provide services to patients and
their families.
Dr. Singer reached this goal by receiving more than 400 donations
from over 25 states and eight countries.
“I couldn’t have achieved this goal without the support
of many people, including my family, friends, and those committed
to me and my practice,” said Dr. Singer. “But most importantly,
it’s the children I treat and their families who inspire and
motivate me in everything I do.”
