Boca Raton based and IT solutions provider Agilysys, Inc. has announced
it has signed an agreement to offer Oracle applications as part of
its IT solutions package.
“The ability to sell Oracle applications is in line with the
company’s strategy to expand its solutions through new products
and services,” said Agilysys Executive Vice President Pete Coleman.
“With this agreement, Agilysys continues to accelerate the company’s
growth as a solutions provider and has increased potential to open
up access to new customers.”
Coleman added: “The Oracle applications suite is a substantial
addition to our solutions portfolio. With this agreement, Agilysys
will significantly enhance our ability to offer customer’s true
end-to-end solutions, allowing them to run their businesses more efficiently
and profitably.”
The agreement with Oracle is an important component to building Agilysys’
solution model – an area that Agilysys is focused on continuing
to enhance, said Coleman.
Oracle products in the agreement include: PeopleSoft, JD Edwards,
Siebel and Hyperion, as well as Oracle Business Solutions.
Earlier this year, and adding to its growing portfolio of acquisitions,
Agilysys agreed to spend $42 million for InfoGenesis, a southern California
based privately held IT firm focused on hospitality software solutions.
Agilysys also announced its $100 million acquisition of Edison, NJ
based Innovativ Systems Design, Inc., a privately held firm that,
and at approximately $260 million in revenues, is the largest U.S.
commercial reseller of Sun Microsystems servers and storage products.
And the firm also reported earlier this year that a major Pocono
resort had selected Agilysys, Inc. to provide it with property management
and inventory procurement systems.
Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono, PA will now use the Agilysys
lodging management system (LMS) to automate hotel operations and expedite
check-in and checkout, according to Agilysys Senior Vice President,
Tina Stehle.
Stehle said the resort would also utilize the Agilysys materials
management system (MMS) to streamline the procurement process, and
to manage customer transactions, Mount Airy will also now use the
Agilysys InfoGenesis point-of-sale system, said Stehle. The new resort
opened in October.
Agilysys operates throughout North America, with additional sales
offices in the United Kingdom and China.
