Valerie Phillips has been named chief compliance officer at Athens-based Broad Street Capital Advisors, LLC.  A 13-year veteran of the investment industry, Valerie brings a wealth of regulatory and compliance experience to the company, which was founded in Athens in 1995. Prior to joining Broad Street Capital Advisors, LLC, Ms. Phillips served as vice president, chief compliance officer, general securities principal, option principal and municipal securities principal for Boca Raton based American Securities Group, Inc.  There, she was responsible for conducting annual branch inspections as well as implementing compliance programs. 

Boca Raton based CareersUSA has announced its inclusion on three top business lists in the United States for 2007 by DiversityBusiness.com, the nation's leading multicultural Internet site. CareersUSA was listed on three Div500 lists for the United States: Top Diversity Owned Business (#131), Top Women Owned Business (#63) and Top Small Business (#88). The Div500 is the eighth annual listing of the nation's top 500 small businesses, women-owned businesses and diversity-owned businesses.  The companies listed on the Div500 lists represent top multicultural earners and challenge the long-held notion that small, women-owned, or diversity-owned businesses are insignificant.

Woolbright Development announced it has signed the following leases at shopping centers in Boca Raton: Bravo Academy, a music, dance, voice, drama and theater studio, has leased 4,600 square feet at Shops at Boca Grove in Boca Raton. Gloria Kramer, leasing agent with Woolbright, handled this transaction.

Green Business Alliance is a national firm helping businesses “Go Green.”  The firm’s proprietary “Guidelines to Greenify” give specific direction to companies that would like to become more environmentally friendly. “Realizing that there was not a national organization providing a road map for businesses to become Greenified, we developed a set of criteria and a way for organizations to become part of the Go Green movement,” said Hilary Kusel, executive director of Green Business Alliance.  Kusel lives in Boca Raton.
